Keats Camps is blessed to have people who come together to support our ministry.  We could not continue to operate without the prayers and the financial donations of many. 

This past year, 2007/08, has been challenging in many ways.  We have had a number of significant financial setbacks, including boat and vehicle problems, aging buildings and equipment needing significant repair and upkeep.

Current needs
There are many costs associated with running a camp, and for us our island location – our greatest asset – also adds to ourKeats Camps is in need of people who can donate financially to help support our general camp Opera operating costs significantly.  We have experienced increased costs this year with boat licensing, boat training, radio expenses, and boat motor replacement to name a few of our challenges.  Of course the rising cost of gasoline and food has also had a significant impact on our operating costs this year.  We very much appreciate any donation to our Operations fund that you are able to make.  Ways to donate: by cheque, direct debit, or credit card.  Thank you very much for considering Keats as an organization you might support.
 

Wish List for Keats Camps
We have a number of items on our wish list at the present time.  We are finding that we have a lot of equipment that needs replacing, as well as quite a bit of repair needed on our existing, aging buildings. We ask that you consider helping us to be able to host our campers and staff this year.

Urgent Building Repairs:

Admiralty (Asst. Caretaker’s Residence) - $8,000

Director’s Cottage, urgent repairs (stairs & window) - $6,000

Reidhurst (Caretaker’s house) - Rear porch replacement - $4,000

Boardwalk replacement - volunteer labour will be needed, hopefully for a spring project.

Other Facilities

Quonset hut roof leaks badly, no estimate of costs available. 

Equipment urgently needed:

Commercial laundry machines - $4,000

Small mixer for kitchen (commercial grade)

Meat slicer 

Upgraded Coffee system - $1,500


We have received donations for repair to The Bridge, OQ, Staff Housing and a new Ice Machine
